Driving up the Moyenne Corniche, the coastal road which

restaurants on the village periphery, you feel part of a
geographical phenomenon which brings together the mighty mountains
of the Alps and the azure waters of the Mediterranean. It is
awe-inspiring scenery. Perched on rock 1,400 feet above sea level,
Eze village centres on the ruins of a 12th-century castle - a
testament to centuries of occupation, from Romans and Moors to the
House of Savoy. Wandering through its labyrinthine streets,
admiring the the vast, bougainvillea-wrapped villas that lead down
the hillside to the Mediterranean, you realise why Eze Village, and
its seaside cousin Eze Bord de Mer, continue to attract the rich
and famous as well as holiday makers from around of the
world.
